The Age of Reckoning is epic fantasy at its best! The complex characters of Naeisus kept me turning page after page, enjoying the relationships and battles, all the while not wanting the story to end. I’m a sucker for women who are brave, kick ass, and possess emotional scars and the Forsaken Queen and Captain are two such women. The multiple characters are realistic and relatable and draw the reader in.

A riveting tale that sweeps you into another world with multidimensional, well-rounded characters. Captain Levana is our Queen.

Fast-paced and brimming with action, Lay’s debut glitters with the jewels of traditional fantasy while cloaked in a mythos wholly its own.

Naeisus is brilliantly told, a story layered with political intrigue... Masterfully woven!

A fast-paced fantasy, with a new and original world, full of unique races. A complex world, with a story that grips you. The King sets his heart on an impossible quest, but the world of Naeisus seems almost hellbent on stopping him! Can't wait for the next one in the series as it leaves you wanting more!

The Age of Reckoning is a book outside of my genre. I usually read (and write) YA, but I was drawn in immediately to the world Thomas created, a complex universe of interwoven realms where alliances come together and fall just as quickly. The characters were flawed and complex. Just the way you want them! The turn of events in the second half of the book took me completely by surprise and the ending was a total shock.
